Bringing a Fresh Perspective to Talent

Jessica Prater brings over 15 years of human resources and talent development. Her work is built on the concept that everyone brings their own talents and motivation to work. A business will succeed only if it builds the skill set of the individuals who carry out the goals of the organization daily.

Her early career experience was spent at a large, multinational manufacturing organization, where she held roles such as a Human Resource Generalist, Training Specialist, and Manager of Technical Training/Performance. During her corporate career, she was heavily involved in building a Certified Trainer program and conducted internal audits at facilities in the US, Mexico and Canada.

A fifth generation business owner, Jessica brings corporate experience with a passion for helping small and medium sized businesses succeed. She founded J. Prater Consulting in 2016 to bring world class talent development to teams of all sizes. In an increasingly competitive talent market, businesses of all sizes need the tools to attract and retain the best talent.

“With each project, I bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for learning. I hope to be of service for you and your team for all of your talent development needs.”

She holds a Master of Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is also a certified facilitator for Situational Leadership and a practitioner for the Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory. Academic foundation is paired with a strong practical experience, which translates into a firm research base that is made applicable and understandable for a wide range of audiences.
