Jessica Prater

Bringing a Fresh Perspective to Talent

I've been working for a decade in the field of human resources and talent development. The majority of my experience was built while at Bridgestone Americas, where I held roles such as a Human Resource Generalist, Training Specialist, and Manager of Technical Training and Performance. I also worked as a project associate with Middle Tennessee State University's COHRE for organizations including Comdata, Nashville Airport Authority and Rutherford County.

During my time at Bridgestone, I was heavily involved in building the Certified Trainer program for the manufacturing organization. I also conducted internal audits at facilities in the US, Mexico and Canada to ensure the program was being completed. While on staff at the North American Manufacturing Education Center, my curriculum was distributed internationally. During my tenure, I also became a certified facilitator for the Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory and Situational Leadership.

My work is built on the concept that everyone brings their own talents and motivation to work. A business will succeed only if it builds the skill set of the individuals who carry out the goals of the organization daily. I hold a Master of Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. My academic experience is paired with a strong corporate background, which translates into a firm research base that is made practical and understandable for a wide range of audiences. Participants in my classes have ranged from corporate executives to entry-level employees in manufacturing facilities and curriculum is built to translate well across groups. 

With each project, I bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for learning. I hope to be of service for you and your team for all of your talent development needs.
